Death is Gain - Low to Medium Gain Overdrive. This pedal is an articulate overdrive that is very responsive to pick attack and playing dynamics. The controls and circuit on this pedal are familiar, but the end result is anything but.
For starters, there is no mid-hump and the tone control is usable and musical at all settings. When cranked, the pedal has a rich, creamy tone that hits you in the gut with tight, full bass response. “Death is Gain” also works especially well for filling out single note passages and stacks well with other drives and boosts. Every guitar has a sweet spot that can be dialed in by the pedal’s gain control, where light picking will be clean and bell-like, while playing hard will produce overdriven bliss. From mild, dynamic gain to moderate crunch, “Death is Gain” will take you to tone heaven!

Each enclosure is hand etched and painted and no two will ever look the same. Knob and switch sets are determined at assembly depending on what I think looks best on that enclosure.

"This pedal does very low to medium gain really well. What I really like is that it is very transparent, with virtually no mid-hump. I could even say it has high fidelity in that lower and higher frequencies are preserved. The pedal can add that "on the verge" or "just beyond" breakup tones and cleans up quickly using the guitar's volume pot. The tone control works extremely well, not creating brittleness or muddy low end. In fact, it is one of the most smooth and usable single tone controls I have ever experienced on a pedal. It's very transparent, and does low to medium gain very well. I thought it had great clarity, but was never harsh or brittle. Cuts through the mix beautifully. It's a fabulous low to medium gain seasoner. It adds a real nice, sweet complexity and bloom to the note. Very transparent and responsive. For the money, this pedal is a no-brainer. It sounds better than most lo gain OD pedals at 1/2 the cost. Highly recommended."
