Marshall Class 5 "Z" Mod

Turn your Marshall Class 5 into a fire-breathing vintage Marshall — at neighbor-friendly volume. Stock, the Class 5 is a cool little amp but it can be too gainy, dark, muffled, and mushy. A few simple mods bring back the crunchy Marshall crunch of yesteryear in a small package you can actually turn up.

What the “Z” Mod does

• Adds clarity and revoices the tone control to mid-to-late-'60s Marshall spec
• Brings out those sweet, crunchy Marshall mids
• More power-supply filtering to remove the low-end mush
• Runs the (normally very hot) power tube cooler for longer tube life
