Boss CE-2 Chorus Modifications

Everyone knows that the Boss CE-2 chorus is a classic, wonderful sounding chorus with countless units sold worldwide. What everyone does not know is that the CE-2 can sound so much better!

With a wide range of speeds, from super slow to almost imperceptibly fast, and clear, even chorusing across all frequencies, it’s no wonder that a Fromel modified CE-2 can compete with the best boutique chorus pedals on the market.

Leslie Swirl Mod:
Increases the maximum speed available for a very convincing fast Leslie tone. All the slow speeds are still available but now the range is increased.

Deep Mod:
Increases the maximum depth of the effect. The stock CE-2/CE-2B can be a little on the subtle side, with this mod you have greater maximum depth, without losing any of the more shallow setting.

Hi Fidelity Mod:
Change out the op-amp with a socketed high quality audio-grade op-amp and change out the input and output caps with high quality film caps for greater retention of tone and lower noise. Takes a mass produced effect and gives it the sonic quality of a boutique chorus pedals costing twice as much.

Power Supply Upgrade:
Sock the pedal uses and ACA unregulated supply. The new power supply will allow the pedal to run on a standard PSA style adaptor and you can even run the pedal at up to 18v for more clarity and headroom.
